The Scalewood

A valley in the northern Barrier Peaks, the Scalewood was the site of an Dao outpost where they collected petrified wood. When orcish refugees and a pursuing human army arrived eighty years ago, both groups were captured, enslaved, and put to work for the Terran overseers.

• Portal Cavern / Cthonian Pillar - Portal leads to the Warrens
• Dactyl Slopes
• Sleeping Mountain - located west of the scalewood, a holy site of Ulaa, home to a ki-rin, guarding the rubies that lie beneath for a secret event in the future. The female ki-rin Ognem controls the weather on the mountain to discourage most visitors. Has its name due to the way the weather there seems wonderful from a distance, but then the mountain wakes and becomes angry when you get close and awaken it.
