The party begins by approaching the temple and exploring the grounds. Our mounts are secured a few hundred feet from the crumbling outer walls.

First stop, a ruined heap that used to be an outbuilding or shack. A small hole into the former cellar is apparent and, after some dithering, Diren heads in to check it out. He retreats soon after, chased by a dozen giant rats which ar quickly dispatched outside the hole. No treasure found on a return trip,must he hears more scurrying in the ruin. He pours out some oil and the party burns the ruin after he's out.

Over to the last halfway standing tower. Brigands are fighting with giant rats. We go into hiding to watch. Eventually some 15 brigands retreat into the tower and the rats vanish into various holes. We decide to let well enough alone and leave the tower ruin alone for now. We head over to the temple proper.

The main door is warded and sealed. Based on who can approach it also looks like a human-supremacist deal, but it's really just bad saves. Fortunately the side doors are not warded, just locked and barred from the outside. The bar is removed and hidden nearby outside the temple. The lock is picked and in we go, closing but not locking the door behind us.

Exploring the main hall of the temple reveals a number of altars: green/black for water, red/white (fire?), and sandstone (earth?void?). We find some robes near them, in thematic colors and some sacrificial knives. There's also a great bronze cauldron with burned remains in front of a dark basalt throne, red robes nearby.

We spike the doors to the side vestries which lead to stairs down. Then we tie a couple ropes (Spit and Pire's) to pillars in head down into the well. Stairs start some 15 feet down and we head down some 40 feet before Spit spots a secret door off the well. We note it and head down farther. The well opens into a large room, then continues further down, but the stairs don't provide access to the floor so we head back up.

Exiting the secret door, we find a hall of bones leading left and right, and a short plain hall ahead. Animated skeletons rise from. The bones and we set to them, defeating them with Elmo and Gnarsh's might, Pire's divine channeling, and Moth's electric aura.

Exploring the non bone hallway, we find a clue of doors. And then ogres burst out to attack us. They're dealt with quickly. Searing their room, we find some weapons, silver, and cheap wine. We also find a secret door which we open.

And get into a fight with some drunken gnolls and hobgoblins with a barrel of beer. they are also dispatched,and the room searched. A few platinum are found in a burned out brazier. Heading out the only door we find some gnolls on guard. During the fight they drop a net on Gnarsh (who takes time out to eat a sandwich) before they are finally dispatched.
