StarWars2 / Session12

Session 12

The Ropagi II Station is actually a pretty nice place. It is clean, everything is in pretty good working order, and no one gives the mercs (and other slightly sketchy individuals) passing through a hard time. After you have had a drink at one of the spaceport bars and examined the datapad from the Jedi, you decide to head first to Rodia and then to Bothan space to help Vekbaar. Hutt space is very close to Bothan space, and the only piece of information you were given about your Jedi quest that had a place associated with it was the male Sarrish Jedi in Hutt space. That doesn't narrow it down too much, but it is a place to start.

As you are paying your tab and getting ready to leave, a very buff female mercenary (make a roll if they ask about recognizing her) comes up to you and says, "You're the ones who took out the rancor by yourselves on the planet, right? That's so impressive." She holds out a hand to Char first.

After shaking hands all around, the merc says, "I'm Alli Terek. If you are ever looking for a job as a merc in the Outer Rim - say between the Corellian Trade Spine and the Perlemian Trade Route - tell the boss that Alli Terek vouches for you." She slaps Char on the back and strolls away.

They go to their new ship and head for Rodia. About 18 hours into their trip, though, the ship drops out of hyperspace. They aren't near a solar system, but there is a rocky planetoid not far away that appears to be broadcasting some kind of docking beacon.

As they approach the planetoid, they see four ships that have landed in a large cave in the planetoid that is open to space. Two ships that look quite similar are quite ancient (both Vaya-class scout). One is from the Mandalorian wars (G-Type light shuttle), and one is from about twenty years ago (Envoy-class Shuttle).

When they land, they find that all the ships are unlocked. While the crews are nowhere to be found, they left behind a lot of stuff. There are blaster power packs, although the ones on the older ships seem to be of a different make than those used now and aren't charged. The stuff in the Envoy-class shuttle is (obviously) in the best shape. The preserved food looks edible. Water and oxygen canisters are in good shape. They search and also find a special cupboard with cryogenically amphibian eggs. They are eggs of the amphibians that the Hutt like to eat and are both valuable and essential for any Hutt traveling outside of Hutt space.

As they are walking around, they notice an airlock door leading into the asteroid from the open area on which the ships have landed.

They go through the airlock and notice on the other side that it was made from a much bigger airlock. As they explore, they find housing built for a race of giants that contains human-sized metal tables and chairs under the giant tables and chairs with tiny entrances honeycombing the walls to what appear to be much smaller apartments, about 1/4 human sized. Suddenly, they are attacked by a swarm of rats that pour out of the apartments!

After they kill the rat swarm, they notice a small bowl of water on the table behind them. If they look around, they see another bowl near a fissure in the rock wall. Further down the fissure, they see another bowl. Around a corner they find a barrier.

There is a very tiny tiny door in the barrier. When they knock, they are greeted by a very very tiny alien. He explains that they are in desperate need. He says that they have lived here since the beginning of time. All was well until the enemy, who arrived many generations ago, built an army of vermin to try to drive them out. Instead, they retreated behind the barricade. They have over the years called to the universe for help, but as of yet no one has been able to defeat the enemy. Recently, though, the enemy has started trying to destroy the barricade. They need help!

The small man says that using their technology they have over the generations made themselves smaller and smaller so that this planetoid can continue to house their population.

The party agrees to help the tiny alien, for a price. The enemy is a malfunctioning probe droid looking for planetoids to mine. They fight off the enemy and its army of rats. After receiving their reward, the party heads off to Rodia once more, with the Envoy-class Shuttle as well. They plan on raising the amphibians in one of the shuttles. On Rodia, they discover the Sith in orbit. They also hear:
* A headline on a news screen says "Phaseera Falls To Sith"

  • Also, the party overhears people talking about how Hoth (the Jedi) keeps retreating from battles with the Sith. While, of course, everyone respects the Jedi, sometimes you have to wonder if they should really be leading the Republic military.
  • Supposedly, there is some really nasty spice coming out of Hutt space. Kills you instantly.

Jeeula Ved helps with training and the party plans to head off to Bothan space next to help Vekbar and meet up with Dran'Liss's contacts.
