The Feast of Fools
Every year, your city has a Feast of Fools. People get dressed up in costumes and parade through the streets on the way to a feast where the aristocrats are servants and the common people are treated like royalty. The festivities last from sunset until dawn. You and your friends always decorate a wagon for the event, and you will do so again this year.
Wagon
- How do you decorate the wagon?
- Does anyone help you?
- Who or what will pull the wagon? Who or what will ride in the wagon?
Everyone knows about your wagon, and after the first year that you did it (quite a while ago), others have done it too. It didn't take long until there was a spirit of friendly rivalry (or not so friendly in some cases) as people tried to outdo each other in the creation of an elaborately decorated wagon for the event. Feel free to come up with backstory, additional characters, and any tools or materials that you might need for the decorations. You spend the whole year collecting things for the wagon, so you can use anything you like, as long as it isn't too expensive.
Character
- What is your name?
- Pick a race:
- Are you strong or weak?
- Agile or clumsy?
- Healthy or sickly?
- Smart or a little slow?
- Wise or foolhardy?
- Charismatic or shy/off-putting/gruff?
- What are you good at?
- What costume do you wear? Is there a mask? As with the wagon, your costume is something that you take a lot of pride in. It is an important part of the event.
Specific Questions
- Healer: How do you heal people? With divine magic given to you by the god you worship? With herbs that you gather? With your own magic that just comes naturally to you?
