These mines are located around a dozen miles ESE of the relocated mite camp, tucked into a gully where the Iron Peaks dwindle into foothills. Long ago they were a gnomish coal mine, but the soft rock, while easy to mine, proved too dangerously unstable to work. Eventually a tribe of mites moved in, but they too were displaced, when a tribe of kobolds moved in around two years ago and began more excavations.
Piled along the sides of the main tunnels is the collected coal from the mines, awaiting shipment, as well as misc mining supplies.
