Outer Lower Cavern - CR 3

This L-shaped cavern had been the lair of the white dragon before it was driven out by the half-dragon spider swarm in HC3. A 5' wide passage leads further back into the caverns.

The limestone walls are dirty, and covered in patches of ice, and also spiderwebs, which will disturb Elayne. A DC 22 Perception check notices the spiders of the swarm before they attack, otherwise the spiders get a surprise round. As soon as Elayne sees the spiders, she is sick to her stomach, and on her turn staggers to the edge of the cave and vomits over the side. On further turns she is horrified and featherfalls to the ground.

At the back of the room is where the treasure pile/nest used to be. Four icy patches on the wall are sculpted with one small shelf each, such as might support a narrow object 1-2 feet long. A DC 15 perception check finds a few coins among the pile of icy rubble (30 silver pieces after five minutes of searching). A DC 10 Perception check notices a narrow crack leading further up into cliff, eventually emerging in the passageway between the ice cave and the fungus cavern. A Small(or unnaturally flexible Medium) creature can climb up through the crack with a DC 15 escape artist check and a DC 5 climb check, but for a Medium creature the Escape Artist DC is 30.
