Florin Hunt is a tall, skinny, quiet, dapper man who both seems and is generally at peace with the world. He does display at times the faintest hints of a well concealed wry sense of humor, but usually by no more than a faint smile. Getting on towards middle age, but showing few signs of it, Florin shows by his cultured manners that he is from a wealthy family 'back East'. He was rich enough to take up flying as a hobby as soon as it became feasible, and soon ended up with a contract making aerial deliveries for Smith and Robards.

Two years ago, he crashed near Vulture City, and telegraphed for repair parts from his employers. The parts were extremely delayed in arriving, and when they finally did arrive, he found that the order had been confused and that he had received nothing that he'd actually requested. As his money was running out, he began peddling the supplies he had already received in exchange for money to live on. By the time the proper repair parts finally arrived, he had established a thriving mechanics business, and more importantly, had begun a romance with a charming young local woman. As they were both very much in love, he stayed in Vulture, they have married, and he is gradually buying out his trusty ornithopter from his former employers, as both he and his wife love flying nearly as much as they love each other.
