My Lords of Nadagiri Valley,
Word of your exploits has certainly reached us here in Rashvar, and no doubt far beyond. Regarding adventures in our barony, for the most part we find that a company of our stout dwarven soldiers can put an end to most problems. Also, we suspect that the small rewards we could offer would be of little interest to you.
However, the reason we have but small rewards to offer is, of course, the dragon. He dwells there on Fogback Peak, as he has for generations. Luckily, his demands for pork, ale, and treasure do not often exceed our ability to provide, but they likewise do not allow us to prosper. We cannot promise the traditional reward of half of our lands and marriage to a princess, but to defeat our oppressor, we would offer gladly a quarter of our lands and every piece of treasure he has claimed over the centuries.
With honor,
Baron Duli Brazenthrone
