Back under Temple again. Next to torture chamber, we find jail cells. We start to feel terrible when we see ragged humans, but they turn out to be zombies so it's OK. Pire smites them with the energy of St. Cuthbert. Searching afterwards - no goodies.

Diren spots a gnome bound in one cell. As he works on getting him free, Moth searches the other cells and finds peepholes in the back. Gnarsh puts zombie eyes in the holes looking back. Gnome is named Wonilon. He's a fighter who came down here looking for treasure and got captured. Asks about his gear, but we haven't seen it.

Keep sneaking - find stairs down. A different path leads to a lit room, we overhear "I think I heard something." We ready attacks, a head peaks around the corner and Diren kills him with a thrown dagger. We then engage a whole troop of bad guys as they form up. We get beat up a bit, Pire has to heal Gnarsh, but ultimately take them down.

As we finished, a door we passed opens and bugbears come out, attacking Wonilon and Moth's dog. A howling charge from Gnarsh and Elmo drops one of them. Then others are finished off as Gnarsh cleaves through them both. Find hallway behind cells where Turnkey slept. Has the gnomes equipment, which he gets back. And we get some gold and a few unidentified potions.

Moving on to a new section through the hall behind the well. Find a door with light under it, hear people moving inside. Prep for ambush, open the door and attack. Diren drops one with a thrown dagger. Battle is joined and a guard pulls on a wire - probably an alarm. The door at the back opens and guards are crouched behind a mantlet. Bolts whistle out at Elmo to no effect. Elmo charges past, pushing the mantlet back with the guards. Gnarsh and Elmo occupy that room as Diren and others kill the last two guards in the first room. Moth sleeps part of the second room and we head in.

It turns out that there's an adjacent chamber with more guards getting armor on. Gnarsh charges in, cleaving through enemies yelling, "I love unarmored opponents!" They respond by rolling a cask of oil at Gnarsh, breaking it and lighting it on fire, lighting him and the floor near him. Moth moves in and electrifies a few enemies, Elmo follows up to help. Pire and Diren engage the remaining enemies behind the mantlet.

The enemies back away and finish armoring. Another door opens farther back and two well armored figures are in back, entering the room. Moth looses another sleep, dropping a few minions. But they are woken soon after by their allies. Gnarsh is on fire and backs away to drink a potion. Diren dives through the fire to back up Gnarsh.

Moth rolls back and takes a hit from a great axe on his way out. Grease knocks down one and makes a leader and a minion off balance. Gnarsh pours a barrel of beer over himself to put out the fire. Diren stabs the greataxe wielder and kills him. One greased guy tries to leave and gets struck down by Elmo. Another makes it out and screams for help. A leader tries to move but can't on the grease.

Gnarsh is downed by an attack from some minions, almost dead. A bit of cleanup, Elmo coup de graces the sleeping leader (that Moth put to sleep).

A minion has dashed to the back yelling "Get the clerics!"
