StarWars2 / DranLiss

Short and stocky, due to growing up under high gravity. Green skin, with mottled black tattoos which serve well as camouflage. He has a rather backwoods demeanor, and speaks basic with an accent that could be described as 'Cajun'.

Born on Talasea, Dran'Liss headed towards Ryloth upon reaching adulthood to visit the Twi'lek homeworld. However, he was basically traveling by hitchhiking and ended up on Naos III instead. There, he met and befriended Jeeula Ved, an older female Rodian fisher and hunter, who took him back to Rodia to learn to hunt 'properly'. After a while, she began a romance with another acquaintance and sent Dran off on his own. He traveled to Christophsis, and there met Ctanthyecknn (aka Fuzz), an albino Wookiee holovid maker, and he traveled with her along the Triellus Trade Route, to record the trip from Arkanis to Boonta, and there to sell off her broken-down starship. From there it was a short hop to visit Saleucami, where he learned storytelling techniques (and acquired tattoos) from the many Wroonians who lived there. There, they also met a group of Gran, who were on vacation from a Corellian broadcast company, and were very impressed by the Wookiee's holovids.

After their vacation, the Gran returned to Corellia to pitch the idea for a 'Bantha Hunter' show, while Fuzz and Dran headed to Felucia to work on hunting and practice recording it. After a few seasons, the gran got the show set up, and the first year was started on Felucia, including some vid already recorded, and continued with some 'winter specials' shot on Rhen Var and Galidraan. The next year was shot in the Vendaxa and Pamorjal systems, and did very well. Unfortunately, the third season was forced by company politics to head to the dismal Trogan system, which frankly wasn't all that interesting (although very pretty, when the weather was good). The show was lagging, and was being protested more and more by the Dim-U monks, who revered banthas and objected to the show and especially the name. Only a few shows in, the final year was cancelled. (Side note: The Dim-U connection to Bureau of Ships and Services is interesting)

Around this time, his old Rodian friend was becoming old and frail, and was disturbed by all the Sith war activity in the outlying regions of the galaxy. She contacted Dran, and asked him to find her, and help her return to Rodia for her remaining years, before travel became too unsafe.
